At First Street Green Art Park in the East Village: Topaz, Meres, See TF, Python, Demer and Jerms

Meres, Jerms, Topaz, See TF, Python and Demer made their way — several weeks back — to First Street Green, where they painted an ode to the historic East Village/Lower East Side neighborhood. Here are a few more images:

The huge mural was painted in collaboration with the Centrefuge Public Art Project and First Street Green. The art park is located at 33 East First Street on the site of — what was once — a derelict building.

STENCIL Continues at Dorian Grey Gallery through August 9: Lady Aiko, Icy & Sot, Blek le Rat, Chris Stain, Joe Iurato, Nick Walker, Solus & more

On view through August 9 at Dorian Grey Gallery in Manhattan’s East Village is an eclectic array of stencil-based compositions spanning 35 years. Among the 25 artists featured in the exhibit are several whose works are also presently on the streets of NYC. Here is a sampling of these artists’ pieces at Dorian Grey.

Earlier this summer, the Centre-fuge Public Art Project once again transformed the now-famed trailer on East First Street off First Avenue, bringing color and intrigue to Manhattan’s East Village.

Centre-fuge Public Art Project Cycle 16 to Continue in the East Village with: Moody Mutz, Joshua David McKenney, Marthalicia, Michael DeNicola, Lexi Bella, Foxx Faces, BK, Raquel Echanique and more

The Centre-fuge Public Art Project continues its mission to transform the Department of Transportation trailer on First Street and First Avenue into a vibrant open-air gallery. These past few wintry weeks, its 16^th cycle has brought an infectious energy to an otherwise cold and stark site. Here are a few close-ups:

“East Village Alchemy” Continues through Sunday at Dorian Grey with: Keith Haring, Paolo Buggiani, Ken Hiratsuka and Scot Borofsky

Dorian Grey‘s current exhibit, East Village Alchemy, takes us on a magical foray through the East Village’s 1980’s street art scene presenting a range of artworks by four of its key practitioners. Here’s a sampling:

“Strada Veloce” Continues through October 5 at Dorian Grey Gallery with Cope2, Crash, Joe Mac Lapadula, Nick Walker, Meres and more

Currently on view at Dorian Grey Gallery in the East Village is Strada Veloce, an intriguing exhibit largely fusing the divergent — seemingly contradictory — cultures of luxury autos and expressive graffiti. Here are a few more works (Cope2 pictured above):
